Addiction Therapeutix develops proprietary in-licensed compounds for the treatment of various addictions and related illnesses. It is currently focusing on developing medications for Co-morbid Alcoholism and Anxiety and Opioid and Nicotine Addiction. The company is located in the Technology Innovation Center in the Milwaukee County Research Park in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, U.S.A.

Addiction Therapeutix has a license agreement and relationship with University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Research Foundation on a family of compounds for treating Co-morbid Alcoholism and Anxiety. In addition, the company has an exclusive Option Agreement with the Medical College of Wisconsin for the potential use of dextro-morphine in treating opioid and nicotine addictions.

Patent applications have been filed and are pending in both of these agreements. The lead inventors of both of these technologies (i.e., Drs. Cook & Tseng) serve as advisors to the company.

Addiction Therapeutix has been certified by the WI Department of Commerce as a Qualified New Business Venture(QNBV). This designation makes tax credits available to investors who meet certain eligibility requirements.
